IMPBA DISTRICT 1
JUNIOR CLASS


Goal: to get younger drivers involved in the hobby allowing them to participate in a fun and non intimidating atmosphere.


Guidelines:
1. Ages 7 to 17
2. The driver may not race in a second class if they are racing in the Junior Class at an event
3. No Outrigger or Sport Hydro hulls
4. Gas engines are preferred to be stock if possible and not over 26cc.
5. No nitro engines over .45
6. Fast Electrics are preferred to be out of the box 7.4v with a 60 amp max.
7. If drivers are small they should have a stool to see over the driver’s stand railing
8. A third pit person to launch may be used if needed
9. Drivers are encouraged to operate their boats unassisted , but spotters may assist when necessary

Is this basically Novice class with a couple extra "info" rules thrown in?

Also, what's with the stock FE boat 7.4 Volt restriction? Most decent boats come with 14.4V. Is this to limit this class to "mini" (or micro) boats?

yes it is Graham.
has for the F/E it just says preferred but not official they can run a boat with bigger voltage if they wish to do so.
