GP Championship trophies will be presented to the series’ top class finishers at this final round’s podium ceremony.
This is the third round of a cumulative points series. Each one-day event will follow a traditional three-round heat race format. The top three drivers of each class will be awarded with commemorative class decals.
Round 1 – Held June 1 in Madison, IN, hosted by PropWalkers Model Boat Club
Round 2 – Held July 12 in Cincinnati, OH, hosted by Cincinnati Model Boat Club
Round 3 – Dayton, OH, hosted by the Dayton RC Model Boat Club
Fees will be $50 to register for all 3 Rounds, or $20 for each individual round. Flat fees regardless of number of boats entered!
Classes available to racers will include, but is not limited to: Classic Thunderboat; Gas Cat; Gas Sport Hydro; Super Sport Mono; LSG Mono; P Sport Hydro; Q Sport Hydro; UL19 (this class will utilize Madison PropWalkers class rules); and all three divisions of Scale classes. Madison FE rules for all FE classes. 3 boats to make a class. Pre-registration is not required, but encouraged.
Races are open to all IMPBA members. NOTE: Points scored by drivers during the series will not be added to their points totals within the District 2 or 14 points series.
The races are expected to be a fun, relaxed atmosphere for new club racers, as well as seasoned drivers. Spectators welcome!
